Case studies

Case studies and examples will help you to understand real systems and supplement the material in the book. In each of the following case studies, there is a short description of the system, what aspects of software engineering that it can be used to illustrate and a set of links to further information about the systems.

The materials haven't been standardised because the applicability of the case studies varies significantly. The different material available reflects how the author, Ian Sommerville, has used them in his own teaching.
